“This system helps us move towards defect-free factory production” – Apeco supplied Bauroc with a waste dosing system
Apeco supplied Bauroc AS with a waste dosing system that supports efficient material transport and precise dosing within Bauroc’s production process. Bauroc AS is one of the leading manufacturers of autoclaved aerated concrete products in the Baltics.
The delivered solution included an ABC 650/11500 belt conveyor and an ADC 800/2700 Belt Feeder with an integrated belt scale. The system is used at Bauroc’s Andja production facility for dosing crushed aerated concrete products into the mill, where sand is ground.
According to Vallo Sokk, Head of Technical Services at Bauroc AS, the solution helps the company reuse its own production waste and move further towards more resource-efficient production.
“In this way, we reuse our own defective products, which account for approximately 0.2–0.8% of our annual production. In summary, this system helps us move towards defect-free factory production,” said Sokk.
A reliable solution for reusing production waste
In production, the movement of materials plays an important role in ensuring a smooth and stable production flow. Conveyors are often one of the key links connecting different stages of the production process. Therefore, it is important that the equipment is reliable, durable, and well suited to the surrounding system.
The ABC 650/11500 belt conveyor supplied by Apeco is designed for the efficient transport of bulk materials. Its purpose is to move material continuously and reliably as part of the customer’s production line.
In Bauroc’s case, the system is used to dose crushed aerated concrete products back into the production process. This enables the company to reuse its defective products and reduce the impact of production waste.
Precise dosing with an integrated belt scale
In addition to the belt conveyor, Apeco supplied an ADC 800/2700 Belt Feeder, equipped with an integrated belt scale and the latest smart Belt Feeder Controller AG1446.
The dosing conveyor is used to ensure controlled and even feeding of material into the production process. The integrated belt scale enables accurate weighing of the material, helping to maintain dosing stability and better process control.
According to Vallo Sokk, the system is capable of dosing 600–2500 kg per hour. “If the necessary maintenance and checks are carried out on the weighing conveyor according to the instructions, accuracy is ensured,” added Sokk.
Precise dosing is especially important in production environments where material quantities directly affect the consistency of the final product, process efficiency, and overall production quality.

Smooth cooperation and flexible solutions
The system automation and integration were carried out by the customer. Apeco’s role was to supply the mechanical equipment and ensure that the conveyors were suitable for integration into Bauroc’s existing automation and control system.
According to Bauroc, the cooperation went smoothly, and any questions that arose during the project were resolved quickly.
“Honestly, we can say that our cooperation went well. When questions arose or it became clear that we had initially miscalculated some aspects, we quickly found solutions through discussion, and the necessary changes were implemented smoothly in production,” described Sokk.
According to him, the cooperation with Apeco did not end with this project. “We have carried out additional projects with Apeco after this one, and we will certainly continue to do so in the future,” said Sokk.
